Please note, demolition works will be progressing to the old nurses’ building at Congleton War Memorial Hospital (CWMH) from Monday 2nd December, as work continues on the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at the site.
As this stage of the work is carried out, the rear car parking areas on site at CWMH (outlined in orange on the image) will be inaccessible from Monday 2nd December to Friday 13th December.
Staff, patients and visitors will still have access to the parking facilities at the front of the site (outlined in green on the image), however, due to the closure of the rear parking area, parking will be limited at the site during this time.
To help reduce demand for parking, anyone traveling to the hospital during this time frame is politely asked to consider alternative transportation such as public transport or lifts where this is possible. Where transport to the site via car is necessary, please be aware that alternative parking should be found on nearby streets if no parking space is available on site, and that this will need to be factored into travel time for appointments.
Alternative arrangements have been made for deliveries and collections on site during this time.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve our diagnostic services and bring them closer to home for people in Congleton and its surrounding areas.
The new CDC will deliver various diagnostic services including imaging; X-ray and Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS); and Cardio-Respiratory physiological testing such as Electrocardiography (ECG), Echocardiograms and other physiological tests.
