Results published today in the NHS Staff Survey show that East Cheshire NHS Trust (ECT) is the kindest Hospital Trust in which to work in the whole of the North West, with 75% of the Trust’s colleagues agreeing that their colleagues are kind and understanding to one another.
The NHS Staff Survey, which is the largest engagement survey in the world, is conducted every year at the same time to understand colleagues experiences and support improvements across the NHS. It is also aligned to the NHS People Promise.
The results also shows that ECT had the highest response rate in the North West at 60%, a 20% increase on last year in the numbers of colleagues at the Trust choosing to engage with the national survey.
And with 1,621 colleagues having a voice that counts, the Trust has been able to gain a powerful insight into how colleagues feel about working here, with improvements in all of our People Promises, except for one where we remained the same.
Ged Murphy, Chief Executive said: “We are really proud of our results and how they demonstrate the compassionate and inclusive culture that we have at East Cheshire NHS Trust. We are committed to going further and continuing to be a great place to work."
