Macclesfield District General Hospital’s Breast Care Unit is set to receive a generous boost thanks to a heartwarming initiative by a local stationery shop.
Stationary Supplies in Marple have raised £350 for the unit after selling a unique range of greeting cards.
Their special ‘mystery pack’ featured an assortment of cards, including birthday, humorous, blank, and various other occasions, delighting customers and supporting a great cause.
Sarah Laker, owner of Stationery Supplies said: “I was delighted that the sales of our 'mystery card bags' raised such a great amount for the breast cancer unit.
“We chose this worthy charity in recognition of the amazing work they do to support breast cancer patients which last year included one of our very dear members of staff.”
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager at East Cheshire NHS Charity added: “We are incredibly grateful to Stationery Supplies in Marple for their innovative fundraising initiative.
“The funds raised from their unique greeting card packs will make a significant difference to the Breast Care Unit, helping us continue to improve patient experience and staff wellbeing, above and beyond what the NHS funds. It’s heartwarming to see the community come together for such a vital cause.”
